Dear Colleagues,

At the WRC’s annual University Caucus meeting two weeks ago, we touched on an important point related to the Russell/ Honduras case: the severe chilling effect of the company’s repeated violations of freedom of association at the Jerzees de Honduras plant (JDH) on workers’ ability to securely exercise these rights at Russell’s other factories in Honduras, and the remedial measures needed to address this problem.  We wanted to make sure all of our affiliate universities and colleges are aware of the WRC’s position on this crucial question. Please see the attached document which outlines our recommendations in this regard.
