We are looking forward to seeing many of you April 22 at the Annual Meeting of the WRC University Caucus, which will be held in Washington, DC.
The meeting will run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30p.m., with breakfast available at 8:30 a.m. If you haven’t already let us know if you’ll be attending the meeting, please RSVP here. I know many people are currently making travel arrangements, and we wanted to share that the WRC has set up a hotel room block near the venue. We look forward to being together with you in person and to discussing significant developments related to workers’ rights in collegiate supply chains. We will hear from Indonesian women workers about how university codes have driven the creation of a new program to combat harassment and violence and what this has meant for their day-to-day lives. WRC investigators will report on techniques for uncovering the realities in garment factories—including finding hidden dormitories, identifying falsified thumb prints, and time-tested best practices for conducting interviews with workers who are experiencing intimidation.
