Webinar for Licensees on Uyghur Forced Labor

We want to share with you that the WRC will be hosting a webinar this Friday for university licensees concerning the forced labor crisis in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (“Uyghur Region”) of China and our guidance to licensees on steps that they should take to ensure compliance with university codes of conduct.

The WRC is coordinating this effort with CLC, and we have also invited other licensing agencies (Exemplar and Fermata) to encourage licensees to attend.

Similar to the webinar on this issue that the WRC held in September for university affiliates, the WRC will review our guidance to licensees in detail, discuss the implementation process for licensees, outline the means we will use to verify compliance, and answer questions licensees have about these topics.
