Attachment: Election Announcement and Procedures 2008

Dear Colleagues,

Nominations for WRC Board Elections open today. Nominations close at the end of the day on June 16. 

There are three seats up for election: one A Category seat, one B/C Category seat, and one C Category seat.

The A Category seat is held by Mel Tenen of the University of Miami. Mel is running for re-election.

The B/C Category seat is held by LaMarr Billups of Georgetown University. LaMarr is running for re-election.

The C Category seat is held by Julia Filippone, of SUNY Albany. Julia has retired from SUNY Albany and is leaving the Board. The election for this seat is for the remainder of Julia’s unexpired term.

The attached memo, which was circulated on Monday, explains the nomination process, terms of office, category divisions and other election procedures. Please let me know if you have any questions about the process.
